We had a great night at The Globe, Newcastle on Friday 19th December.
The audience seemed to be in party mood and we had a great time. A review of the night can be found here.
Many thanks to all at the Jazz Co-op, especially to Debra Milne for setting up this gig and to Ken Drew for help with the PA and his excellent photography:
Although Alter Ego have played at The Queen’s Hall in Hexham a few times, this was our first visit to the Thursday night Jazz Club. We had a great time and so did the audience if this feedback is anything to go by:
“Thanks so much for a TERRIFIC gig last night. What a great band. One of our regulars said you’re the best band we’ve ever had.” Hazel Hanley, Hexham Jazz Club
Hopefully we will get the chance to return at some stage. Its a great night and a nice venue. Please head along if you get the chance.
“Fantastic night from a first class band, check these guys out.” Shaune Eland – Darlington Jazz Club
We had a great night at Darlington Jazz Club – A great venue with a great audience. As an unexpected bonus, two of us ended up with bottles of wine from the raffle!
Thanks go to Shaune and the rest of the team at The Forum. Hopefully we will be back sometime next year.
“A good session from a cracking band.” Russell Corbett, Bebop Spoken Here
We really enjoyed our Splinter gig at the Bridge Hotel last week. It was our first gig with new bass player Tony Abell and we were pleased to see such a good turn-out, despite competing with the scorching weather and the Wimbledon men’s final!
You can find a review of the gig here
“Alter Ego played a fantastic set last night at Splinter @ The Bridge. Thank you to all who came and supported it.” Zoe Champion
We’re now looking forward to our next gig tonight – 14th July at Darlington Jazz Club – hope to see some of you there!
